PUBLIC SERVICE MESSAGE,
do your homework before relocating to Idaho

IDAHO HAS BECOME THE NATION'S
POSTER-CHILD OF PROPERTY RIGHTS ABUSE

Thousands have moved to Idaho from large cities with dreams to live a rural lifestyle, only to have their dreams dashed as they are Forcibly Annexed into a nearby City without a voice or vote.

Idaho county residents with small acreages lose property rights they purchased in good faith and have their property taxes increased from 25% - 350%. often considerably higher while getting nothing in return.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Present State Laws in view and subjects of concern are:

Idaho State Statutes:

1. Idaho Statute, Title 50, Municipal Corporations, Chapter 2, General Provisions, Paragraph 50-222, Annexation by Cities

2. Idaho Statute, Title 50, Municipal Corporations, Chapter 20, Urban Renewal Law, Paragraphs 50-2001 through 50-2030

3. Idaho Statute, Title 63, Property Tax, Review , rewrite, request repeal of or let stand every Chapter of this Statute.

4. Idaho Statute, Title 59, Public Officers in General.  Chapter 7, Ethics in Government.

Subjects of Concern:

1. Impact fees for new Municipal growth, to stop property owners from having to subsidize developers and new growth.

2. Local Option Taxes, which will allow local governments to function without relying  solely on property taxes.

3.  Eminent Domain, Change present laws to protect property owners' property from greedy public officials and developers.

4.  Evidence of Developer and Political Corruption see '2002 Session Review', Annexation Reform on page 4.
NOTE: Citizens' Annexation Reform Bill Killed and Replaced by Developer Sponsored Legislation SB-1391
